A wonderful day was had on our Nature Fun Day, facilitated by the Peak District National Park Young People and Communities Ranger Frances and her volunteers. Over 30 children and their parents attended and made ‘Mini Beasts’ bug hotels to take home, did an orienteering treasure hunt and were encouraged to explore the park for materials and creatures using the rangers magnifiers.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake were available with Peter from Granelli’s ice cream in attendance.
All the children had a bag of sweets to take home.
Our thanks go to all the volunteers and trustees who made this possible, Emily from Home Baking Cheshire for her donation of wonderful cakes,
Alison for providing first aid cover, James from https://honestcreative.co.uk for his artwork, Booker, Tesco and Costco for their donations, Chris and Pam for their donations of chocolate, Mark for looking after our web site and Sutton Scouts for their loan of chairs and everyone else who contributed to make this community get together come to life.
